Saturday, February 21 – Live stand up comedy is a monthly event at Novato’s own Trek Winery, with national headliners appearing in the winery’s barrel room. This month the performer bringing the laughs alongside the wine is Milt Abel, who promises a clean, clever and funny set based on his own observations about family life. Support comes from Bay Area performer Anthony Hill, and a guest appearance from local newcomer Ellis Scherer.

Novato Theater Company presents The Bat – Visit Novato

Friday, February 6 through Sunday, March 1

Mary Roberts Rinehart’s play The Bat is a murder mystery thriller original set in 1927, though this production places the action in 1954. This tense, well-plotted murder mystery is an adaptation of Rinehart’s best-selling first novel, The Circular Staircase, which launched her career as “the American Agatha Christie”, ran as a play on Broadway and inspired several film adaptations, including a silent movie. A must-see for fans of the “whodunit” genre.

For more information, or tickets, visit the Novato Theater Company website.
